Ivana Romanská

Ivana Romanská is a senior associate at Bartosik Svaby, which she joined in year 2019. Ivana focuses her practice on employment, civil, commercial and administrative law including representing in litigation and administrative proceedings. Ivana has significant experience providing day-to-day legal advice to both foreign and local clients operating their activity in the Slovak Republic.

In the field of employment law, Ivana specializes in the preparation of documentation related to establishment, modification, and termination of employment relationships, including mass terminations. Ivana also has broad experience in preparing various internal regulations for clients and providing advice regarding the operation of trade unions at the employer level, including the employee committee in Societas Europaea, as well as issues related to labour inspection and protection of whistleblowers. Ivana has represented clients in the litigations related to declaring termination of employment null and void. Additionally, she has provided legal advisory to the clients regarding enterprise transfer and activity transfers, as well as issues related to the assignment and posting of employees (including legal relations with a foreign element).

Ivana provides ongoing legal advisory and prepares legal documentation, in particular contracts and legal opinions, in the area of civil, commercial, administrative law, and tax law for the clients from various business sectors, such as automotive, transport and logistic, telecommunication, construction or marketing and advertising.

She has extensive experience in representing clients in court proceedings, particularly construction companies in matters related to contractual penalties, payment for work, defects in work, and claims for damages.

Ivana is fluent in Slovak, and English.
